Overview

The Collector Car Event and Partner Specialist will be responsible for the planning, organizing, implementation reporting, and improvement for our collector car shows/events.

This role will be responsible for proposing and recommending changes to improve marketing effectiveness in current company-attended shows and developing a scalable processes to strengthen relationships with channel partners (e.g., affinities and brokers) and equip them to effectively market smaller, local show. You will be expected to travel, attending shows in-person as needed. 

Our ideal candidate will be very detail oriented, self-motivated and outgoing, while thriving in a fast-paced environment.  This position requires a team player who has strong marketing, merchandising, and sales skills and can effectively build relationships with key partners and vendors, as well as the business and marketing teams.

This role can be done in-office, hybrid or fully virtual from anywhere in the continental US. Fully virtual/remote employees would be expected to travel to our office in Mt Laurel, NJ for training, meetings and events, at least occasionally.  

Compensation: $65-75k/yr depending on experience level

Responsibilities

  • Plan event marketing calendars across Collector Car programs providing recommendations of events geared towards achieving business goals
    • Work closely with key internal stakeholders to manage and analyze the events calendar
    • Organize the events budget and ensure all vendor contracts are in place
    • Coordinate all pre, at and post event activities for collector car related events
    • Act as point on follow-up plan post show – conduct post show meeting with attendees to determine outcomes and take away actions from the event, distribute leads, compose and send follow-up correspondence.
  • Oversee relationships with key partners ensuring all needs are met and that growth is achieved
    • Promote our programs to new, current and potential partners, helping to win their book share and/or increase their ability to sell to their clients
    • Create presentations, collateral, and other marketing materials geared towards providing value for our affinities and brokers
    • Work with the digital team to create online campaigns targeting new partner growth
    • Act as point of contact for all partner requests including cobranding, collateral and giveaways
  • Evaluate and recommend strategies to improve marketing effectiveness in large-scale (national shows, regional shows), collector car associated-events, and local shows.
  • Develop suite of promotional materials/items with vendors, marketing team, and business stakeholders to increase volume of lead generated, and processes to increase follow through effectiveness from marketing events.
  • Develop recommendation for calendar of exhibition events, and associated changes needed to improve/maximize effectiveness on marketing spend for external events.
  • Maintain account, reorder inventory, and manage delivery logistics for all promotional materials and trade-show display booths
  • Keep detailed cost records and monitor and seek approval for vendor invoices resulting from event and partner activities needed for final year end budget
  • Scope of responsibilities will grow over time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Event Marketing, Communcations, or a similar Field
  • 3+ years of event management experience
  • 1+ years of business development
  • Outgoing with a great attitude- willing to dig in and collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated sales, merchandising, and marketing experience
  • Strong writing and communication skills required
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Software including Teams and Dynamics 365
  • Willing to travel (35+%)
